Why I can not get the speed dome work with DVR2000 via PELCO-P protocol?
-
First step, you have to select the PELCO-P protocol with 9600 baud
rate at the speed dome, 2nd step, you also need to select the PELCO-P
with 9600 baud rate at DSR configuration under Windows Control Panel.
3rd step, connect the speed dome with the RS-232 to RS-485 with
PC. make the wiring + to + and - to -; run the DVR2000 software
for DVR20004R or DVR2000D boards, log in to the system, open the
dome camera's image screen. Now you can see there is a small button
with PTZ control. click it and will open the PTZ control screen.
Finally, you will need to select the proper dome camera ID to control
it. The number of the camera ID in the DVR software is start from
0. That means it's different with the setting with the dome camera.
e.g. if the dome camera's ID is 1, then the camera ID in the DVR
software must be set to 0. and so on...
12.What is the advantage of using Lotus Twisted Pair Transmission products?
- SMART, FAST, COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION
- 1. Video signal transmission by coaxial cable (RG59) will normally loss over the distance of 200 meters and resulted bad video image.
By using Lotus passive video transceiver solutions, the video signal transmission can reach up to 300 meters (Color) or 600 meters (B/W), even 1KM, 2.4KM if using active transceiver.
- 2. To use Lotus LTTS-DP414V/LTTS-P414V 4 channel transceiver/cable hub, you will only need one single CAT 5 cable to transmit 4 video signals for cable saving and fast installation.
- 3. CAT 5 cable cost is only half of Coaxial cable and much more easy in installation than coaxial cable.
13.Can it use one single CAT-5 network cable to
transmit video signals and control data?
-
Yes. Using 4 pairs CAT 5 twisted pair cable that can use Lotus
LTTS-P414V/LTTS-P444V to transmit 4 set video signals.
You can also use our LTTS-P414VD to transmit 3 video signals and one data signal (RS422, RS485).
14.Can Lotus Transceivers transmit RS-422, RS-485 signal?
-
Yes. Lotus LTTS-P414VD can transmit one data control signal,
LTTS-A111AV can transmit 2 sets of data control signal (RS422, RS485).
15.Can Lotus Transceivers support broadband RF/VHF/UHF?
-
No. Lotus transceivers do not support RF/VHF/UHF signal.
Unless special design demodulator and modulator is used within.
16.Can Lotus Transceivers transmit VGA?
-
Yes. You can use VGA CONVERTER (Analog to Digital) to transmit with Lotus transceivers.
17.Can Lotus Transceivers transmit satellite or cable TV?
-
No. Lotus Transceivers do not support the wide bandwidth cable TV signal.
However, a single channel can be sent if a demodulator and modulator is used within.
18.Why is there video image “rolling” appear?
-
The cause to this image “rolling” effect comes from the
power interference during transmission or the video transmission range
is too big that 2 or multi channels within cannot have stable/balanced signal.
For Coaxial cabling, you could add our new Product – LTTS-CB001VH (Coaxial BALUN)
for extra interference rejection.
For Twisted Pair cabling, you could use our LTTS-P111VH (passive, short-range type)
or LTTS-A111VH (Active, Long range type) to eliminate the interference.
19.Why is it power wave cause interference and video image looks “Wavy”?
-
Both coaxial cabling and twisted pair cabling may have “Power Wave” interference.
High Frequency (such as radio) or Differences in ground potential are typical causes
to unbalanced power line loads. Therefore, you could add our “Video Ground Loop Isolator”
to eliminate the interference.
Generally, it is not easy to find out as to where this kind of interference emerge.
So, we would recommend you to use monitor to check each connect point (between two wire connection)
to find out where is the source of interference.
20.Why the video image color becomes lighter or video image not stable, even no video image
after connecting DVR; the video image is good while into monitor directly?
-
Video signal degradation is possible once going through any cable transmission, either
coaxial or twisted pair wire. Especially when the video signal goes through DVR (analog to digital signal),
signal losses will be bigger. If the video signal output is lesser than 0.8Vpp, the picture display will be
lack of quality and has bad or ghost video image. You could use our following products for improvement.
1. For Coaxial cabling, you could add our video amplifier LTTS-CA101/LTTS-CA101A/LTTS-CA404/LTTS-CA101VH
etc at the front of DVR to boost the video signal.
2. For twisted pair cabling, you could alternatively use the passive receiver to active type LTTS-A111VR/,
LTTS-A111AVR/LTTS-A414VR/LTTS-PA008/LTTS-PA016, which built in brightness and sharpness, controls.
If the range is over 1.5Km, you could add one more set of active video transmitter/receiver for series connection.
21.When 1 video image needs to be distributed to 2 monitor, the monitor picture looks ok,
but in the DVR video picture is not stable or color become black and white. Why?
-
One video signal if split into 2 channel, the signal would be degraded thus causes the picture not stable. Please
use our Video Distributor LVD102/LVD408/LVD816 that amplifies and stabilizes video signal before distributing
the signal. If there are multi video channels and the transmission range are big different, you could use our
Video Distribution Amplifier LVD102A/LVD408A/LVD816A which built in Hi frequency compensation and sharpness,
brightness controls for high quality picture on different range transmission.
22.Why is the video image too bright, snowy or wavy when testing or using active twisted pair transmission
products LTTS-A111V/LTTS-A111AV?
-
Please correct the following two conditions:
1. These products are designed for long range transmission, the unit built in video amplifier function,
if under transmission range below 100 meters, the video gain function is too big thus gives rise to snowy,
wavy or bright image.
We recommend that you use them when the transmission range is at least over 100 meters. Alternatively,
Lotus passive video transceivers LTTS-P111 series will be ideal for short-range transmission as well as cost saving.
2. The Active receivers have "5 position distance range switch" for different range transmission. Please switch to
appropriate range for your application to avoid any weak or bad image.
23.Why is there a ghost or double, cascade shadow (one channel comes out with the shadow of the other channel image)
when using Series Connection on twisted pair transmission products?
-
Please make sure that good cable connection is done to avoid video signal loss,
interference or even cable oxidation. The best way is still solder the cable or
use communication cable UY connector (our model: LTTS-AP007). Furthermore, make
sure that you cut the unnecessary cable while doing the series cable connection as
the following:
24.Why is the video image looks “wavy” and shaking under one channel transmission
application?
-
Wrong twisted-pair cable connection would cause the video image wavy and shaking
if use only one pair of wire for one channel video transmission. Please check the
cable connection and make sure that the TX wire and RX wire must be coherent.
For example, TX: 1, 2 = RX: 1, 2 or TX: 7,8 = RX: 7,8.
25.Why the camera and video transceivers installed outdoor have higher defective rate
and quality not stable?
-
Normally, the cables installed and have long range transmission for cameras are more
vulnerable to surge or damage, even though some of our products built in TVS
(Transient Diode for Surge Protection). The products can still be destroyed once
stronger surge or lightning strike. We strongly recommend you to add our surge (Lightning) protector.
26.How to protect high value camera, DVR and CCTV image processor/monitoring equipment destroyed
from high voltage surges from nearby lightning strikes?
-
To add Lotus surge protection devices at the rear of cameras and in front of CCTV image
processor/monitoring equipment. You spend very little money yet the high value CCTV equipment
is safe and save.
27.Will RF interfere with the video signal when using Lotus Twisted pair devices?
-
No. Lotus devices are highly immune to interference. CAT-5 UTP twisted pair wire can immune the RF interference.
The only concerned is high power (signal noise ratio). RF signal would have video interference disregard
coaxial or twisted pair cable transmission. You could try to use twisted pair wire with overall aluminum foil
mylar-shield with one drain wire and braided shield or else keep out from high interference area.
28.What kind of wire to use with Lotus Twisted Pair Transmission products?
-
Use UTP (unshielded twisted pair) CAT 5 24 AWG (or above) to have the best transmission quality performance.
Use STP (shielded twisted pair) cable, the shield would cause internal signal interference and the
transmission range would be shorter (1.5KM--- >0.8KM) than UTP cable. Untwisted wire is not recommended as
it easy has interference and transmission range will be shorter.
29.Can RJ11 ordinary telephone wire use with Lotus Twisted Pair Transmission products?
-
Yes, Lotus Video Transceivers can use ordinary telephone wire to transmit signal and the range is up to 300
meters. But the interference will occur easily. Therefore, we do not recommend this solution unless special
environment required.
30.Can Category 6 wire be used with Lotus Twisted Pair Transmission products?
-
Yes. Use category 6 twisted pair wire, the range will be longer and have
highly interference immunity.
31.Can UTP wire be put with other wires in a multi pair wire bundle?
-
Yes. One of the benefits to use Lotus Transceivers is interference rejection. Lotus Transceiver’s video
signals can reside in the same wire bundle as multiple video signals, telephone wire, Ethernet, coaxial…etc.
Power wire is not recommended to put in the same bundle to avoid interference.
32.Can spare pairs in an existing CAT-5 network cable be used with
Lotus Twisted Pair Transmission products?
-
Yes. You could use any spare pairs to transmit video image via Lotus products.
Normally, PC would use the first and second pairs on the Internet, so the third
and fourth pair could be used for video signal transmission. Make sure that this
cable is not going through any hub.
33.Why using one network cable to transmit 4 video channels, one channel image can be
normal but the other two or three images have cascade shadow (one channel comes out
the shadow of other channel image)?
-
Please check the networking cable on TX and RX must be under standard wiring 1, 2,
3, 6, 5, 4, 7, 8 into RJ45 connector as following:
